CASTEL RUGGERO

Chianti Classico DOCG 

 

Varietal: 90% Sangiovese, 5% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc

Vintage: 2023

Region: Greve in Chianti - Tuscany

Vineyards: Chianti Classico zone located between Florence and Siena. The soil is calcareous and well-structured.

Winemaking: Fermentation takes place with a traditional skin contact of 12-16 days in concrete.

A wood aging in large casks of French oak then Barrels for 16 months follows.

Bottling is carried out in the spring.

 

Tasting Notes

 

Color: Ruby-red.

Bouquet: Intense with notes of cherries, plums, and violets.

Taste: Rich flavors of cherry and leather. Supple tannins and good acidity.

 

Food Pairing: Perfect accompaniment to a wide variety of foods, including red-sauced pastas,

grilled meats and roasts.

Varietal: 40% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc, 20% Syrah

Vintage: 2023

Region: Greve in Chianti - Tuscany

Vineyards: Chianti Classico zone located between Florence and Siena. The soil is calcareous and well-structured.

Winemaking: Fermentation takes place with a traditional skin contact of 8-10 days in concrete.

A wood aging in large casks of French oak then new Barrels for 16 months follows. 

Bottling is carried out in the spring.

 

Tasting Notes

 

Color: Intense red-purple color.

Bouquet: Intense with notes of blackberry fruits and spices. Chocolate, coffee and toasted aromas.

Taste: The wine is full-bodied with good structure. There's an admirably fine balance between soft

tannins and acidity. Generous palate of ripe red and black fruits, considerable length.

 

Food Pairing: Fantastic accompaniment to roasted or grilled meats; ideal with game, but excellent

with mature, hard cheeses.

Vigna Sant' Eustachio

Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG

Varietal: 100% Sangiovese

Vintage: 2022

Region: Greve in Chianti - Tuscany

Vineyards: Chianti Classico zone located between Florence and Siena. The soil is calcareous and well-structured.

Winemaking: 

Fermentation takes place with a traditional skin contact of 16 days in concrete tanks. Daily pump-overs.

Ageing: 30 months in large casks of French oak then concrete for 3 months. 

Bottling is carried out in the spring.

 

Tasting Notes

 

Color: Ruby red color with garnet reflections.

Bouquet: Complex aromas of ripe red fruits, aromatic herbs, spices and earthy notes.

Taste: Balanced, elegant and structured, with soft but persistent tannins and a long and complex finish.

Food Pairing: This wine pairs well with a variety of Tuscan and Italian dishes, such as wild boar pappardelle, Florentine steak and mature cheeses.

PLACIDO 

IGT Toscana

 

Varietal: 100% Cabernet Franc, 

Vintage: 2022

Region: Greve in Chianti - Tuscany

Vineyards: Chianti Classico zone located between Florence and Siena. The soil is calcareous and well-structured.

Winemaking: 

Fermentation takes place with a traditional skin contact of 16 days in new French oak. Daily punch downs.

Ageing: 24 months in  French Tonneaux and Barriques then small concrete tanks for 12 months. 

Bottling is carried out in the spring.

 

Tasting Notes

 

Color: Intense ruby red color with purple reflections.
Bouquet: Intense aromas of black fruits, cassis, black pepper, notes of tobacco and vanilla.
Taste: Rich, full-bodied and structured, with firm but elegant tannins, balanced acidity and a persistent and complex finish.

 

Food Pairing: This wine is ideal for accompanying grilled or roasted red meats, game dishes, mature cheeses and traditional Tuscan dishes such as Florentine or peposo. Its structure and complexity make it a perfect choice for special occasions and elegant dinners
